FCT Community theatre
Posted in Uncategorized with tags Christmas, DC, events, Fauquir Community Theatre, FCT Stage, live Shows., maryland, virginia on November 28, 2007 by novaentertainmentOk, as promised we will get this one going again. If you have not had a chance to sample the talent at some of the areas local community theaters now is a good chance. Something for everyone as Fauquier Community Theater in Vint Hill recreate the annual family favorite, “a Christmas Story”. I am told all the elements that made this show a family favorite since the eighties are in place. You can still “shoot your eye out”, you still cant turn down a triple dog dare, and it’s still not a good idea to stick your tongue on the school flagpole in the middle of winter. Kevin Sowers Directs, and Bryan Marsh produces this memorable adaptation. Curtain goes up at eight o’clock on Friday night November 30th. Tickets are 14.00 for adults, and 12.00 for kids and seniors. So get out there and support your local community theater with this guaranteed family favorite. More of what’s going on soon.
Peace and Love

In Concert: Chéjere and Sonex. Hispanic Heritage Month opens with a splash as Chéjere and Sonex combine the Son Jarocho and the Son Huasteco—two of Mexico’s most distinctive regional styles of music—with contemporary Afro-Latin, hip-hop, funk and electronic sounds. The results are vibrant arrangements that resonate as much with Mexicans as they do with people all over the world! Both traditional regional rhythms derive from a mix of indigenous and imported—Spanish, Arabic, African, and Caribbean—musical legacies that reflect Mexico’s rich cultural and ethnic diversity. Co-sponsored by the Mexican Cultural Institute and the Smithsonian Latino Center. Baird Auditorium, 6:00–7:30 pm.
Shear Madness can still be saeen at the Kennedy Center. The adaptation of the Roger Waters movie should not be missed. Tickets range between 40.00 and 50.00, lots of seats available throughout the month.
